In recounting the untold and evolving story of China's predilection for replicating the greatest architectural hits of the West, Bianca Lencek Bosker explores what this unprecedented experiment in 'duplitecture' implies for the social, political, architectural, and commercial landscape of contemporary China. With her lively, authoritative narrative, the author shows us how, in subtle but important ways, these homes and public spaces shape the behavior of their residents, as they reflect the achievements, dreams, and anxieties of those who inhabit them, as well as those of their developers and designers.
From Chinese philosophical perspectives on copying to twenty-first century market forces, Bosker details the factors giving rise to China's new breed of building. Her analysis draws on insights from the world's leading architects, critics, and city planners, and on interviews with the residents of these developments.
作者簡介
Bianca Bosker is a graduate of Princeton University. She lives in New York and is senior tech editor at the Huffington Post.

「中保無限＋」昨（8）日與亞洲最大Apple代理商STUDIO A策略合作，在STUDIO A高雄旗艦店攜手合作打造SMART HOME體驗館；中保指出，今年會力求通路上的突破，除自有通路「中保無限＋」服務站陸續開設外，也會尋求與外部單位合作，計畫今年全省最少開10家。
「中保無限+」為中保集團旗下發展智慧居家服務的品牌，董事長林孝信強調，中保已從安全服務產業轉型，以科技整合與創新服務，繼續進軍物聯網智慧應用服務；透過物聯網把傳統保全產業延伸涵蓋食醫住行育樂的生活服務業，讓中保2015年營收與稅後淨利均創歷史新高。
中保指出，這次與STUDIO A合作的SMART HOME體驗館，消費者可透過中保無限＋app全區控制，包含遙控家中燈光、音響等小家電，掌握家中大小事，並執行智慧排程模式，為家人打造舒服生活情境;智慧防災功能方面，可在廚房安裝煙霧或一氧化碳偵測器，當設備感知異常發生，智慧連動防災系統防止災害進一步擴大。
中保強調，中保無限＋，就是物聯網網生態系統平台，未來會保持開放態度與各產業跨界合作異業結盟，讓中保無限＋的智慧應用生活服務，因與新產業或新品牌合作，服務功能無限增加。
